Diagnostic Audiologic Evaluations
Scheduled and performed by our licensed and nationally certified Hearing Healthcare Professional are subject to professional fees. Insurance often covers these services.
The hearing test includes obtaining air and bone conduction thresholds to determine the softest sounds that you can detect. This is followed by speech testing to find out how softly you can hear speech and how well you understand it. A test of middle ear function is also administered to determine if there are any middle ear problems that would indicate the need for a medical exam.
VNG - Balance Evaluations
ENG and VNG’s are specialized tests to evaluate dizziness or vertigo. Vertigo can be associated with disorders of the inner ear related to viruses, traumatic head injuries, toxic agents (i.e., medications or chemical exposure), neurologic impairment as well as other pathologies.

Evaluation and Fitting for Musician's Ear Plugs
Musicians practice and perform in a variety of different settings. They are exposed to high levels of sound, sometimes for long periods, which may put them at risk for permanent hearing damage. Musician’s ear plugs are custom-made devices that help to limit the sound exposure from instruments, while still providing a rich musical experience for the performer or audience.
We work with the major manufactures of daily wear hearing aids in order to provide you with the best possible options and features to ensure better communication for you in order to improve your quality of life. Our audiologists are committed to staying up-to-date with technology regarding the latest hearing aids and accessories. Bluetooth technology can be used in conjunction with hearing aids (e.g., accessories for phone, television, mini-microphone).
Lyric Hearing Aids
We also dispense the extended wear hearing aid: Lyric. We have been fitting the Lyric devices successfully since February 2011. We were the first practice in Delaware to do so. We will determine if you meet the candidacy requirements to wear the devices.
Counseling On The Use and Care of Your Hearing Aids
Our audiologists are available to help you with the process of improving your hearing needs. Family members are welcome and encouraged to come with you to learn about your hearing aids.
Hearing Aid Dispensing & Fitting
At the hearing aid fitting, you will receive the hearing aids you selected. They are programmed based on a prescription that is specific to each person’s hearing loss. The hearing professional may make adjustments after you try the hearing aids to make sure the settings and fit are ideal for you.
